designs by kj started as a pastime by artist Karen Johnson to create one of a kind beaded jewelry pieces for family and close friends. Soon the endeavor blossomed into much more than a part-time leisure pursuit. By simple word of mouth her stylish and adventurous designs were being sought by an ever-widening circle of patrons. Now she offers these designs to the general public and interested merchants through this web site. Created as an informational tool to display her work, Karen hopes this site will give the visitor an intimate look at the diversity of jewelry styles she offers. She is also available for sales parties.

Beautiful polished stones wrapped in gold-filled or sterling silver, each one a totally unique gift from nature. The Minnesota stones I have collected and polished myself. Stones from around the world, I've purchased and polished or have been sent to me by friends. All of my wraps are done with either 12k gold-filled wire or sterling silver. I use gold-filled because of it's sturdiness. It will not peel off like gold plating would.
