You want a Deschutes Jasper Cabochon? This is the one with such nice pattern, both light and dark lines. And a nice large gray sky. The shape is classic freeform shape and the price is more than fair. I don’t have another like this. 40x20x4mm 2mm girdle
Want to learn more about Deschutes Jasper, consider part of the Biggs Jasper Deposit. Here is a Wiki link to some info. I think I really need to do some research and find more info out there about Deschutes as its all buried now. I know Hoot Elkins discovered it and his daughter Judy kept his old rockshop going for years in Prineville till she had to shut it down several years ago.
The material really is special and nothing like it has really even been discovered since. Now there are similar materials like Royal Sahara and new type of Wascoite being dug as Biggs. But there was just something about the color and contrast in Deschutes that made it more unique. I would love to talk to anyone who loves this jasper like me.
Let us scan the interwebs and contact some folks and get the info back up to talk about the history of it for all folks to enjoy. Contact me and let us make it happen.
