Here is a real fun piece of Jade from California. I received this piece a long time ago from a friend who collects. I was asking for a blue piece and this piece is really close. Yes, blue just keep in mind its still green. With a blue hue to the green coloration. I did try and carve this piece a little but it was so hard and fibrous I decided to finish it as is. California Jade is sometimes collected underwater. What makes this piece really special is its also a Botryoidal piece and just something you don’t see for sale in such a small ready to set size.
Visit my Sold cabochon Gallery to see past opals I have cut. You will find other examples of materials, shapes, sizes, colors, and in general see my work there. Some stones date back over 15 years in there. I don’t show everything I cut, just the ones I really liked over the years. Please let me know if you have any questions about those materials.
Its also important to visit your local rockclub if you have one near by. Its a great place to start if you are new to gems and minerals. Thank you.
